Manage and perform engineering evaluations of biomass, waste-to-energy, and chemical recovery industrial boilers. In addition to determining efficiencies and environmental impact, the in-depth studies identify possible improvements in the combustion process, air delivery system, heat transfer surfaces, and auxiliary equipment.Tasks include foreign and national travel for field measurement campaigns, analysis of field data, development of analytical models that represent the system's process, application of combustion and heat/mass transfer principles specialized for industrial boilers, composing comprehensive reports of the findings, maintaining open lines of communication with clients, working with contractors, and collaborating in-house with the various departments to identify feasible solutions and recommendations for clients.

Provide interpreting services during medical and social service appointments for Spanish speaking individuals. Translate official government documents and other transcripts from Spanish to English or vice-versa.

Manage and conduct a feasibility and resource assessment for the purpose of implementing hydrokinetic turbines in the tailwaters of two hydroelectric facilities spanning across the Columbia River. The project and Master's thesis was advised by Dr. Philip Malte, Co-Director of the Northwest National Marine Renewable Energy Center.
