As a staff engineer in the Accelerator Division, Mechanical Support Department, I help maintain and upgrade the proton beamlines leading up to the experimental targets. I design and analyze structural mounting fixtures to install beamline components, as well as design ultrahigh vacuum system interfaces. Additionally, I am conducting design/analysis work on the warm front end of the new linear particle accelerator which will be installed in the PIP-II facility expansion, ceramic beam tubes for the future LBNF experiment, various mounting fixtures for the Mu2e experiment under construction, as well as designing mounting and installation fixtures for the future Magis-100 experiment.

As a mechanical engineer I was responsible for the management of a $300k munitions research portfolio and its associated supporting contracts. I designed, documented, and implemented a research plan investigating blast damage mechanisms supporting AFRL advanced munition concepts. To do this I designed and instrumented scaled blast experiments and then analyzed the data with custom MATLAB, Excel, and Python data analysis tools. I was an active participant in multiple integrated research teams and integrated product teams. Additionally, I participated in modeling and simulation of Air Force missions and campaigns using Command Professional Edition software, a modified version of Command Modern Operations.

As an operations officer my primary function was to augment the operations staff at the National Guard Bureau during times of need or during emergencies. Additionally I worked as a liaison between the Army National Guard and various federal agencies, such as FEMA, during disasters and national security special events.

As a graduate student my thesis research was on the mechanical properties of additively manufactured Inconel 625. The SLM samples were tested in dynamic compression with Kolsky/Split Hopkinson bar techniques and in static tension through conventional means. My coursework included classes in additive manufacturing, optimization, engineering design, and engineering decision-making.

While serving at Battery commander I was responsible for planning and executing the operations of 60+ personnel. I ensured that training milestones were achieved, logistic needs were planned for, and administrative requirements were accomplished on time. I ensured that the $21 million in government equipment that I was accountable for was properly stored, maintained, and users were properly trained. Additionally I was responsible for the training and mentorship of my 5 direct reports.

As the Battalion Fire Direction Officer (FDO) I trained and supervised four subordinate Fire Direction Centers (FDCs) to provide safe and accurate field artillery fires. To do this I ensured that my subordinate FDCs were technically proficient in the processing of field artillery firing data. Additionally I assisted supervisors with operational and strategic policy decision making and with the planning and coordination of complex operations.

-Managed a four person staff planning logistics operations.-Prepared usage estimates.-Coordinated with other staff officers to ensure that all logistic needs were being met.

-Managed up to 30 subordinates with 6 direct reports.-Executed training operations with zero injuries, leading to 100% certifications.-Oversaw up to $10 million worth of equipment, ensured users were properly trained and equipment was properly maintained with zero equipment damage.-Directed the inventory of company high value equipment with zero losses, oversaw user level maintenance operations and monitored company level maintenance issues.-Assisted supervisor with the accomplishment of the company goals. -Mentored junior managers in the accomplishment of their personal and operational goals.

While working as a summer research assistance I designed and fabricated an automated data collection system for wind tunnel calibration. To do this I:- Designed and fabricated basic circuitry to handle digital control signals and analog feedback signals- Designed and programmed a two axis motion control code to work in conjunction with data acquisition code utilizing LabView hardware and software- Calibrated motion control and data acquisition systems- Conducted data analysis of time dependent signals using MATLAB

While working as a Battle Captain I oversaw the operations of 450+ employees spread across multiple companies and locations. I monitored and utilized multiple radio, telephone and computer networks simultaneously to effectively monitor current operations and to accomplish daily administrative tasks.

While working as a Platoon Leader I managed the operation of up to 45 subordinates with 6 direct reports. I had administrative responsibility for up to $10 million in government equipment and ensured that it was properly maintained and users were properly trained. While deployed I was responsible for a military facility containing up to $500 million in equipment with no breaches or thefts.
