Title: "Antimicrobial peptides and antibiotics against bacterial biofilm"Working in A/Prof. Muttenthaler´s Neuropeptide Research Lab, in collaboration with the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology of the University Hospital Vienna, the main objective was to study the inhibitory effects of different commercially available antibiotics and synthetic antimicrobial peptides against bacterial biofilm growth, with a particular focus on gastrointestinal biofilm to combat irritable bowel syndrome and inflammatory bowel disease. • Communication and collaboration with various stakeholders in the political and healthcare industry as well as various internal national and international departments• Participation in industry and political events, discussions, and interest group meetings with subsequent briefing to the Government Affairs & Policy team• Preparation of analyses and drafts for department statements on political and regulatory topics, particularly in e-health policy

• Theoretical and practical training as a paramedic• Rescue and ambulance operations in 12-hour day and night services• Participation in various further training courses on disaster intervention and themanagement of crisis situations
