Working full-time as legal counsel. Work included:Action for Annulment of the Amending Directive (Directive 2019/692), Nord Stream 2 v Parliament and Council (Case C-348/20 P): 1. Researching and providing substantive input to the submission to the CJEU, as well as reviewing and commenting on various submissions. 2. Collaborating with external counsel and academic experts related to the Action for Annulment.Energy Charter Treaty Arbitration, Nord Stream 2 v. EU, (PCA Case No. 2020-07): 1. Reviewing and commenting on submissions to the Respondent (EU) and the Tribunal. 2. Collating supporting materials and drafting of documents for the arbitration proceedings; Researching procedural, substantive and quantitative aspects related to the arbitration. 3. Supporting the selection process of the experts and witnesses for the arbitration; Reviewing and commenting on expert reports, in particular those related to regulation and financial impact. 4. Coordinating the document production process, including overall responsibility for schedule, document searches, obtaining necessary consents, as well as storage and submission of documents.Derogation Application to German Regulator (BNetzA) under the Amended Gas Directive: 1. Collating relevant data for the derogation application and supporting documents, including technical and financial information in close cooperation with external counsel. 2. Reviewing and commenting on submissions related to the derogation application and the appeals to the Oberlandesgericht Düsseldorf and subsequently the Bundesgerichtshof.Compliance with the Amended Gas Directive: 1. Reviewing and evaluating options for compliance with the amended gas directive, including the availability of different unbundling models and related regulatory requirements, in particular those related publication obligations, capacity allocation, as well as tariff regulation. 2. Supporting the collation of documentation and drafting of submissions to the BNetzA.
