With more than 10 years of communications and writing experience, including creative and technical documents, I am a consummate story teller. I’ve provided all aspects of story production including pitching new story ideas, researching leads, interviewing subject matter experts, writing up drafts, editing into final manuscripts and publishing stories in AP format. Additionally, I utilize open-source research skills such as Google advanced search operators and Internet-based research to fill in the information gaps in written content and have experience with Twitter, Hootsuite, Eventbrite, Canva and ChatGPT for creating social media content. As a Toastmaster, I have excellent presentation skills and have provided both a 30-minute thesis presentation and led an hour-long training on new software while as club president. I also use my verbal skills in editing and proof-reading to ensure natural language and active voice in my deliverables.My personal interests are in international affairs, economics and business, technology, climate change and the environment. Ideally, my next position will focus on one or more of these areas, but I enjoy learning something new. In my free time, I publish on my personal website long form articles and 3 to 5 summaries news stories covering regional events across the world.
