Provides Process Safety Management (PSM) leadership to a team, comprising of PSM Operational Assistants, Risk management & MOC advisor, Safety Instrumented Systems advisor, Assurance & Incident Investigation & Reporting (IIR) advisor.Develops PSM technical plans aligned to Astron energy strategic objectives. Responsible for the successful execution of programs such as waste management, air emissions, water discharges, obtaining permits, licenses and other Environmental AuthorizationsReview and interpret existing environmental legislation and regulations as it pertains to the business and provides guidance on improving the business’ environmental performance and compliance of environmental regulationsImplements workable (fit for purpose) cross functional solutions while building and maintaining good cross functional relationshipsMonitors and reviews proposed legislation and regulations for impacts on operations. Develops company comments and position-documents to proactively participate in the formation of laws and regulations. Represents Astron Energy at industry and regulatory meetings and hearings; Assists in negotiating complex environmental issues with Authorities and third parties.Mentors SHEQ Field Specialists to develop their knowledge of environmental issues and regulations.
