This position requires me to work closely with farm managers, nurseries, flower growers and chain stores.Responsibilities:• Hands-on - Forklift License, assist in offloading of containers of imported goods.• Consumer relations - Determining, implementing and monitoring purchasing, storage and distribution of all stock.• Communicating - Scheduling work and rotations to meet fluctuations in staff levels.• Inventory control - Operating recording system to track all movements of supplies and finished goods to ensuring re-ordering and re-stocking at optimal times.• Work Communication - Directing staff activities and monitoring their performances as well as responsible for the disciplinary and grievance procedures.• Consumer Relations - Manage and resolve all customer and consumer enquiries as well as managing of consumer relations. • Initiative and Handson - Preparing and implementing plans to maintain required stock levels at minimum cost• Monitoring and reviewing storage and inventory systems to meet supply requirements and control stock levels• Communication Skills - Liaising with other departments and customers concerning requirements for outward goods and associated forwarding transportation• Overseeing the recording of purchase, storage and distribution transactions• Consumer Focused - Implemented quality control procedures, resulting in a decrease in product returns and complaints.• Organisation Skills - Introduce a new space saving technique, which eliminated scattered stock and eliminating the requirements of acquiring more space for new products.• Hands-on & People Management - Successfully filled an order worth R 250 000.00 in one day, without a single quality or service-related complaint from the customer.• Customer Service & Decision making – Successfully lowering delivery costs by grouping area deliveries, ensuring that deliveries are kept as per time slots
