Implement a VMware high availability deployment for EMR system.  Serve as a technical consultant to the executive board for all matter regarding internal systems and infrastructure. Create a project plan, develop timeline, coordinate with vendors, and execute tasks to onboard each of the 8 new clinical offices we opened. Complete an annual security risk analysis and update organization systems to maintain compliance with current HIPAA requirements. Communicate clearly with administrative and health care staff as well as patients and vendors. Oversee the operation of server systems including researching, selecting, and relocating all critical computer operations to a colocation to develop a true data center with full redundant systems. Identify security vulnerabilities and eliminate them with strategic solutions that increase data safety. Direct and support implementation of all system software and hardware upgrades internally and related to EMR. Identify and recommend new technology solutions that we can implement across the practice and in our department including thin client additions to exam rooms, implementing a patient wireless network, working with vendors to strengthen WAN topology, supporting doctors by introducing a dictation software system, and creating a solution to allow physicians access to the EMR system remotely to increase productivity
