Prof. Morris Hartstein is an internationally known surgeon, instructor, and innovator in the field of Ophthalmic, Plastic, Reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgery. He is also the recipient of the 2022 Outstanding Humanitarian award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology.In practice for over 25 years, Prof. Hartstein has performed over 10,000 eyelid and orbital surgeries, lectured worldwide, published two of the best-selling textbooks on Plastic and Reconstructive Eye Surgery, and has been the recipient of several awards in the field.He is a humanitarian who after taking a family trip to Ethiopia in 2004, founded Operation Ethiopia, to provide medical aid to indigent in Africa. Nefesh B'Nefesh has awarded him the Bonei Zion Prize in Global Impact for advancing Eyecare and Ophthalmological training in Ethiopia.
