Manager, Flight Dispatch
Current- Provide strong leadership and administrative, functional, and technical direction to Flight Dispatch personnel- Develop, implement, and enforce operational control standards, policies, and procedures- Maintain and develop Flight Dispatch standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure safe and efficient operations in compliance with Canadian Aviation Regulations- Liaise and maintain strong relationships with external partners including service providers, airports, air traffic services, other airlines, and regulatory agencies- Research, evaluate, and manage contracts with service providers including software and hardware providers, aircraft ground handling and fuel companies, IT departments and sub-charter airlines- Maintain and develop Flight Dispatch Procedures Manual and Training Manual - Issue Operational Bulletins, Directives, and Memos to Flight Dispatch personnel to ensure best practices and exceed regulatory requirements- Act as Subject Matter Expert for technical Flight Dispatch, advise Chief Pilots and other Flight Operations management on ways to continuously improve safety and efficiency and any constraints which may impede operations- Recruit, interview, hire, train, coach, and mentor Flight Dispatch personnel- Continuously seek areas of improvement, provide macro level analysis to senior leadership, and strategically implement process changes to optimize operational performance, increase efficiency, and enhance the Company’s competitive position- Work closely with other departments including operations coordination, maintenance, customer service, and airports to ensure the highest standards of safety and client service are maintained
