The mission of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce is to serve as the principal advocate for business in partnership with the community; support and assist existing businesses; act as the primary catalyst in promoting the economic health of the Springfield area, stimulating jobs and improving the quality of life.As its President, I lead a staff team of 24 employees, and I am accountable to the Chamber's board of directors for leveraging and maximizing all available resources to execute the organization’s strategic vision and priorities.

With more than 1,200 members, the Greater Birmingham Association of Home Builders is the sixth largest local home builders association in the U.S. As its Executive Vice President, I lead a staff team of eight employees, and I am accountable to the GBAHB board of directors for leveraging and maximizing all available resources to execute the organization’s strategic vision and priorities.

As CEO of the Home Builders Association of Greater Springfield, I led a staff team of five employees. I answered to the HBA board of directors, and was accountable for leveraging and maximizing all available resources to execute the organization’s strategic vision and priorities.

Served as an aide to then-U.S. Senator John Ashcroft. In a five year period, was based in Kansas City, Missouri, then Washington, D.C., then Springfield, Missouri.Managed Missouri press and media relations from Washington, D.C. office and also from Missouri offices. Responsible for crafting and positioning the Senator and his message for optimal positive exposure in earned media.As District Office Director for southwest Missouri, was responsible for grassroots development, constituent services, and public events and appearances throughout southwest Missouri. Served as surrogate for the Senator at public events and listening posts.

Responsible for on-air programming and advertising sales and management for a local small market radio station that was a part of the Branson Radio Network.

Responsible for weekend on-air duties, play-by-play sportscasting and news and sports reporting. Also provided voice-over work and advertising production.
