Additionally, the Vice President selects and appoints over 150 of the Executive Branch's appointments to University positions all over the campus. During his term, Jacob worked extensively on the campaign against the UNC Board of Governor's policy change to reduce the drop/add period at UNC Chapel Hill from eight weeks to ten days. Together with members of Student Government, the petition raised a record number of signatures - nearly 8,000.
