For years, I worked as a customer service representative at the Salt Lake International Airport. However, I was let go from that job when the Covid-19 pandemic came and the demand for travel drastically lowered. For a few months, I decided to not work in favor of completing my Bachelor's Degree quicker. This I did, graduating with a 3.94 GPA and Suma Cum Laude honors from Utah Valley University. Before graduating, I started a new full-time job with Unifi Aviation Services, also at the Salt Lake International Airport, this time as an Administrative Assistant. It was here I realized I loved payroll, onboarding, and other tasks that HR professionals often complete. Soon, I started at Neerings Plumbing & Heating in HR. I have worked there since March 2021, completing onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, helping resolve employee conflict, and other various tasks. I love my job! Now, I am planning on completing my MBA at WGU soon, and I'll be looking for ways to learn and develop more skills in the work place while also acquiring a Profession in Human Resources certification.
