Natural Catastrophe Insurance

We were a group of 3 people consulting the company to manage their projects. We set up an Enterprise Project Management tool using web-based MSProject that could help project managers to monitor their projects' progress in terms of cost, time, and resources. We also developed project management protocols and procedures for the company. We trained their project managers how to schedule projects and assign staff to each task by implementing Work Breakdown Structure, Critical Path Method, and other project management concepts. The goal of the consulting and implementation was to apply all aspects of PMBOK Guide on the management of the company in a practical way. The result of our system included providing a variety of reports at different levels. We had reports on the performance of each individual staff (engineers), reports on the performance of the project managers, reports on the progress of each project, reports on the performance of each department. Different reports were sent to their associated individuals such as project managers, department managers, CEO, and the board members at a different time interval such as weekly, biweekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly. In addition, we pushed PMBOK Guide further and set up a system of reports for predicting future of the company based on what is already scheduled and both current and incoming contracts.

I was a member of Quality Control - Quality Assurance Team for Niayesh Tunnel (waterproofing/insulation, rebar placement, formwork placement, concrete mix testing and pouring). The tunnel is the longest municipal tunnel in the Middle East that it was under construction at that time. The construction had two Iranian consultants working in a collaboration with a German consultant. For the construction part, two General Contractors were working on the two sides of the tunnel, and there was another contractor working on bridges of the two-story highway connecting to the tunnel. There were many sub-contractors. The whole project had a Chinese financer alongside Tehran Municipality.

I was involved in Dynamic Compaction project for site preparation of a gas and oil field in the South of Iran.
