• The Aldermaston Petroleum Storage Depot (PSD) is a Top Tier COMAH (Control of Major Accident Hazards Regulations 1999) site. It receives, stores and delivers Jet A-1 AVTUR fuel to and from a network of cross-country pipelines that operate 24 hours / 365 days.Management responsibilities:• Managed site team comprising operations, maintenance, stocks and accounts.• Managed the safe storage, sampling and testing of the AVTUR product.• Ensured fuel stocks and accounts were correctly accounted for. • Managed contractor activities: assessed and approved their Safe Systems of Work.• Daily issue of General, Hot Work, Confined Space and Excavation permits.• Hosted visits by Managers, Directors and Competent Authorities (HSE/EA).Health and Safety:• Assisted with the rewriting of the COMAH safety report for the depot.• Carried out emergency response exercises with the emergency services.• Liaised with local business and residents to ensure correct response in a site emergency.Achievements:• Promoted to Site Supervisor role following group TUPE transfer from Babcock to Costain, • Reviewed and updated operational procedures, to move towards a process safety culture.

• Assisted supervisor with the safe management and operation of the Petroleum Storage Depot.• Led operations team of 6 staff on a 24-hour rota with 1 operator on duty at all times.• Provided 24-hour emergency call-out, as well as covering for shifts as required.• Coordinated safe storage, sampling and testing of the AVTUR product.• Ensured Health and Safety was paramount in the depot and all procedures were fully complied with by staff at the depot.• Issued and supervised work permits.

• Worked as part of a team of 3 self employed engineers, providing machine tool maintenance for a variety of companies including McLaren (F1), across the South East and Midlands regions.• Provision of planned / preventative and breakdown maintenance.
