Facilities Officer
Current•Day to day management of a team of 60 staff to ensure the continued provision of high quality cost effective services•Supervising and managing the effective use of all employee resources, equipment and materials, plant and vehicles allocated, to ensure cost effective services are provided•Supporting staff through Human Resources processes in respect of absence and performance•Initiating the recruitment process, leet, interview, select and induct staff•Achieving high morale, performance, consistency of approach and the maintenance of professional standards through the identification and fulfilment of development needs for all employees•Liaising with clients and customers to ensure that the service complies with specification & Client’s requirements•Taking lead and ownership of the informal complaints process, emerging issues and topics, investigating, making decisions and/or recommendations and/or implementing suitable and appropriate resolutions•Ensuring that Service responsibilities in relation to Health and Safety are achieved by managing, implementing, promoting and monitoring safe working practices•Working towards meeting expectations of KPI’s and developing solutions if standards are not being met•Responsible for carrying out internal audits, preparing reports and collating statistical information•Demonstrating high levels of risk awareness and highlighting potential operational risks to the Team Leader•Responsible for raising repair requests; including the building fabric, and monitoring the performance of contractors/suppliers to ensure effective resolution of issues•Verifying and processing requisitions, overtime timesheets in accordance with service procedures•Providing leadership to Facilities Supervisors, Charge-Hand Cleaners and those staff who rely on their Officer for direct support, to ensure their related wellbeing, service delivery, the health & safety of the workforce and their development within the Service
