Since joining the planning and strategies practice in 2015, Michelle has been instrumental in positioning P&W’s workplace consulting services, increasing sales growth, and establishing herself as a key contributor in the client acquisition process. She has expanded the firm’s consulting services to a robust catalog of change management programs, strategies, surveys, and sessions that enable cross-functional collaboration and facilitate a smooth transition of people to new spaces. As the Chicago practice lead, Michelle supports her client’s real estate and HR functions and assumes a role akin to a chief hybrid officer or head of remote work. Her strength is aligning business goals with workplace functionality and steering the design to maximize the client’s real estate spend while heightening the employee experience. She also oversees all new business development for her practice, including setting the firm’s bid strategy, assembling the proposed team, and formalizing all aspects of the proposal for client review and response.During the height of the pandemic, Michelle led with compassion, courage, optimism, and enthusiasm, creating a safe space that fostered open, honest communication. She has championed diversity initiatives and advocated on behalf of women in the workforce for more organization-wide recognition. Michelle continues to innovate on the service side, benchmarking processes that ensure the connectivity of internal and remote units and create sustainable success in an ever-evolving hybrid work environment. Michelle led all business operations related to client accounting, including the transformation of the firm’s intake, electronic billing and reporting processes, and contract compliance issues. She also served as an accounting liaison to the firm’s seven domestic, four European, and six Asian offices. KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDED:♦ Delivered presentations on departmental activities to accounting leadership, partners, and firm management committees ♦ Managed a multiyear effort for the CFO to improve client contract management and identify revenue impacts♦ Led cross-functional projects for the controller to minimize electronic bill rejections, build a standard audit trail, and shorten the payment cycle♦ Led the transformation of the firm’s conflicts identification system to include checks against multiple American and International watch lists after 9/11♦ Expanded specialized attorney expertise to the firm’s global conflict clearance process, freeing up attorneys to spend more time on billable work and improving the clearance process

Early into this role, Michelle moved from a developer into a client liaison position. KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDED:♦ Launching and leading the quality control/quality assurance process for a multimillion- dollar implementation at Manpower, including user acceptance testing by franchise owners and detailed testing to address tax implications at the state and local levels♦ Leading the conceptual design team at Deluxe Checks to build a business case and an implementation roadmap for new application features requested by customers, internal sales, and operations while making the best use of existing resources♦ Leading the application development team for Walgreens’ first in-store hiring system, a forerunner of the online recruiting process, which allowed people to enter the store and apply for a position directly from a kiosk ♦ Integrating OCR technology, automatic faxing, and updated business processes to automatically transfer prescriptions to a generic brand with physician approval, thereby increasing pharmacy profit margins and saving patients money while preserving their confidentiality
