I represent energy infrastructure companies, public utilities, renewable energy companies, and emerging companies in the energy space. I have extensive experience advising and executing legal strategies for complex energy projects, business ventures, transactions, regulatory matters, and government investigations. Drawing on a wide range of first chair experience both in-house and as outside counsel, I help clients navigate legal and regulatory regimes to efficiently achieve business objectives.

Responsible for legal services across Kinder Morgan’s interstate natural gas pipelines, storage facilities, and liquefied natural gas (LNG) import and export companies which represented over half of Kinder Morgan’s $25 billion market capitalization, with over 70,000 miles of pipelines.

Provided core legal services while also coordinating legal work for Kinder Morgan’s intrastate pipeline system in Texas, gathering and processing the Rockies and Oklahoma, the Mier-Monteray Pipeline in Mexico, and Southern Natural Gas.

Provided legal services across Kinder Morgan's interstate and intrastate natural gas pipeline system. Responsibilities included drafting and negotiating joint ventures, acquisitions and divestitures, transportation agreements, advising on regulatory issues, rate proceedings, policy and strategy, government affairs, and negotiations.

Advised clients on electric, natural gas, and renewable energy matters, including the organized electric markets, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory investigations and audits, and implementation of new legislative regulations.

Supported the Office of Electric Markets and Rates and provided legal opinions and counseling on electric matters before FERC, including drafting FERC opinions, orders, and final rules related to a broad range of energy issues, mergers and acquisitions, ISO/RTO Tariff proposals, capacity markets, cost allocation, competition, demand response, FERC’s transmission incentive rates policy, and implementing the Energy Policy Act of 2005.
