I'm a leader in software development combining a deep technical expertise with an empathic and empowering leadership style. Throughout my career I've been pushing state-of-art in computer graphics, visualization, and high performance computing while creating highly successful software products. I hold a PhD in Computer Science, an Executive Education from Harvard Business School, and I've completed the Stifinder leadership course. My achievements include:• In my PhD I developed an interactive simulator in C++/OpenGL for surgeons to train cardiac procedures on children with heart defects. I collaborated with surgeons and validated the approach in interdisciplinary studies. The simulator had photorealistic 3D graphics and soft tissue simulations reacting to interaction through haptic devices.• In my research years I published 30+ peer reviewed papers.• I founded the Visual Computing Lab at the Alexandra Institute to bridge the gap between research results and applications in industry. I gained funding to hire 15 experts across Aarhus and Copenhagen, leading remote teams since 2010. • Over a decade I led more than 100 projects at the Alexandra Institute pushing the state of art in computer graphics, deep learning, AI, and computer vision with top researchers and companies such as LEGO, Autodesk, Danfoss, Oticon and BK Medical. • I was a co-applicant of the largest applied research project ever funded by the Danish National Advanced Technology Foundation. We developed novel applications, algorithms, and cloud computing approaches in medical imaging and ultrasound.• As Director at Luxion I took KeyShot to the next level with a pivot in strategy to embrace GPU rendering, subscription services, and virtual/augmented reality. I tripled the size of my organization while maturing our development processes to release a robust version of KeyShot on time - a real challenge before I joined.• I led the development of KeyVR and contributed as a developer to realize the dream of photorealistic real-time 3D in a multiuser virtual reality environment directly from CAD.• I joined the startup Humio which was later acquired by CrowdStrike. This taught me a lot about managing change and an appreciation for managing in American BigTech• At the TMRW Foundation I was leading and actively developing a 3D Engine that was to be the platform for the next generation of the Internet. Real-time 3D on all devices, multi-user by default, and efficient on web through WebGPU and Wasm. An ambitious but realistic goal working with people with from Crytek, IO, and Unity.

I'm leading the two teams with ux-designers, frontend and backend developers that develop our UI, search interface, and data visualization. Humio was acquired by CrowdStrike in March 2021. -
Director Of ProductsLuxion Inc. (Makers Of Keyshot) Oct 2017 - Sep 2020Costa Mesa, California, UsKeyShot was an easy and fast 3D rendering solution for product designers, while KeyVR was an entirely new solution for real-time interaction with photorealistic product design in Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality. My organization included all developers, UX/UI designers and QA specialists at Luxion, 23 direct reports in total. My organization was developing the products of Luxion; KeyShot, KeyVR, and Velux Daylighting Visualizer. I referred directly to the CEO and founders. My main achievements include• Recruited 17 developers, designers and QA to a total of 23 direct reports• Released KeyShot 7.3 to 10.0 on time and to great reviews (a pivot in development maturity at Luxion)• Developed KeyVR from idea to successful product launch - including hands-on coding of core functionality.• Strategy for KeyShot to embrace new use cases beyond the rendered images themselves.• Strategy to switch from CPU to GPU rendering using Optix/RTX and a strategic partnership with Nvidia.• Introduced Luxion to team organizations, agile development, release planning, QA, and roadmap prioritization.• Hands-on software development in C++, Qt, OpenGL, GLSL, OptiX, Cuda• Point-of-contact for partners projects in GPU, VR/AR, CMF, 3D Print -
