Developing new products at Ringbrothers was different from any other business. A large percentage of new products were based on the specific vehicle we were building with a shortened build schedule (6-18 months). We had to design, iterate, produce a large # of parts/products on extremely tight schedules. My role was to vertically integrate the business in Design to Manufacturing.While it was different it didn’t stop us from increasing our sales by 4X and our profit margin by more than 20% in 4 years. The key was vertical integration!

- Worked with sales and marketing to forecast a 3-year timeline based on current market trends - Communicated with 4 Asian factories to bring new products to market-based on determined metrics - Traveled nationally and internationally to solve supplier issues - Managed the design and creation of a new product development portal, “Whiteboard,” is a program for gathering ideas from anyone in the organization while being able to create discussion and idea growth - Designed and made jigs and fixtures for manufacturing and inspection with the assistance of our in-house machinists

Applied bench-marking techniques to determine new product design changes - Extensive reverse engineering, and testing of driveline U-Joints - Static and fatigue tests conducted in lab and then compared to PRO/E Mechanica - Metallographic examination and mass polar moment of inertia of trunion and bearing caps

Focused on in-house manufacturing and making it as efficient as possible - Experience with Kaizen events, Lean, and Six Sigma - Designed an ultraviolet adhesive cure system to lower batch times by over 10 minutes, for less than half the standard $12,000 conveyor system - Knowledge in Cartesian coordinate robots along with sensor programming

- Developed hands-on experience working at a stainless steel fabrication workshop, welding, grinding, polishing, press brake, and shear operation

- Provided seasonal lawn care needs, customer service, mechanical maintenance, and monthly billing
