My name is Moses Markels and I am a double major in Advertising and Media Production at the University of Colorado Boulder. I am passionate about the intersection of media and business, and my specific focus is in creative strategy and advertising.My hands-on experience includes formulating a funding proposal for the Goose Creek Community Land Trust, aimed at building an affordable housing project in Boulder, as well as both managing the social media content creation for a sports betting entertainment company called Denver Sports Betting and working as a Marketing Production intern for Rise Comedy in Denver. These roles, along with the creation of multiple short films, have honed my skills in media production and storytelling, and have helped me become proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite and various production and advertising software.One of my unique strengths is my ability to communicate effectively across audiences. This skill comes from teaching video production and skiing to children as well as traveling across Africa, Europe, and Central America. These experiences broadened my understanding of how different types of people and cultures interact with media.My current career interests are primarily in advertising, creative strategy, and video production. Outside the classroom, I balance my studies with skiing, exploring the stock market, and writing scripts for documentaries and other media projects.My ambition is to leverage my skills in media production, and my knowledge in advertising to drive my career forward.
