Litigation Manager
CurrentAs the Manager of the Litigation Department at IDB Group, I manage a team of experienced attorneys, and together we supervise, direct, and monitor outside counsels that represent IDB in various litigation, pre-litigation, and dispute resolution instances, with a focus on Class-Action and High-Profile Cases. My responsibilities include:• Devising and executing suitable strategy on a case-by-case basis in ongoing litigation matters, especially regarding class action cases, high-profile cases, and possible precedent-setting matters.• Establishing internal practices to mitigate litigation risks and ensure effective responses when such risks materialize.• Participating & collaborating in cross-functional projects and initiatives within IDB Group to advise and assist on litigation-adjacent matters such as regulatory inquiries and demands, as well as customer disputes.• Monitoring litigation developments relevant to IDB's business and ensuring IDB's position is heard regarding laws and regulatory demands.• Providing continuous legal support and advice on all litigation-related matters to any relevant stakeholders at the bank.• Day-to-Day management of the litigation department and employees.• Managing the litigation budget and engaging with outside counsel and vendors to ensure the delivery of practical, efficient, and expert litigation advice.• Setting work standards, methods, and procedures within the Litigation Department in accordance with bank-wide policies and appraising work performance.• Preparing and delivering ongoing, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports on litigation risk and matters, and the legal and financial impact of litigation matters, to stakeholders and senior executives.• Supporting, coordinating, and acting as a legal business partner to the Credit Collections Unit, the Seizures and Confiscation Unit, and the Uncovered Checks Unit
