The platform is both social and personal and works across all devices in and out the classroom. It provides thousands of interactive books. End-to-end digital media company that planned, built and managed custom Internet-based projects for the commercial and educational sector including educational content management systems, document management systems, e-learning platforms, E-commerce stores and ordering systems. Managed outsourcing projects in India. Managed software support and SEO and social media marketing. We also built projects for universities and the travel sector.Managed daily operations including marketing, sales, development and design.

Outsourced CPO/CTO for Media Lift - a digital signage company for captive audiences in elevators. Responsible for all technology research, development, deployment, product design and management of the DS network for the company.I received an offer to help get this innovative startup jump started and I couldn't say no to the challenge. In those days it was no easy task getting the internet and screens into a moving elevator with all the safety regulations. We worked with Chinese outsourcing to build the first prototype and then went on to build our own. We also built a management system to control the screen layouts and media channels.

Coovi was an innovative startup that developed a cross-media advertising platform allowing coupons to be captured from banners on websites and mobile phones to a user's portfolio where the users could swap and gift them. The profile included a powerful trading engine for matching up users with different coupons. The advertisers also had an advertising campaign platform where they could create and manage ad campaigns in realtime and manage email campaigns to users that had saved their coupons.The company had offices in Jerusalem and a sales office in NY and worked closely with Y&R in developing the product branding.In addition to building the company from the ground up with my partner (including developing the concept and helping raise venture funding of $3.5M) I was responsible for- Member of the board, planning company strategy with investors- All R&D (development team of 10 programmers, 3 designers, 3 QA) and implementation- Managing the R&D budget which was a large part of the venture capital we raised- Sourcing & setup of server farm on offshore data center- Integration with other online platforms (MSN, AOL, DoubleClick).- Writing MDR/PRD, business plans, patent applications- Negotiating contracts- Hiring R&D staff- Planning and implementing the booths for foreign trade shows.

The Internet was born and was mainly text pages. One day at my desk I opened Internet Explorer (No, there was no Google then and Yahoo was ruling the world - rember Yahoo?). I saw a 3D wireframe cube on my screen created in java that I could rotate with my mouse.As I played with it any remaining boundaries or limits I had melted away and I saw in that cube where the Internet was going. That cube told me anything will be possible. I gave notice and started my own Digital Media company.We specialized in building custom websites and content management for clients. We were focused on trying to convince businesses and organizations to embrace the Internet and use it as a tool for innovation.

This was my first real job. I was employed as a hardware and software engineer. I was responsible for designing and building an electronic reader and display for a digital water meter.I was also responsible for designing and building the electronics for the water meters' innovative sonar communication module for transmission over metal pipes. Both products were developed and implemented successfully.These were pre internet days where you had to order a manual and wait 2 weeks for it to arrive before you could start programming the chip! Nevertheless this job taught me what it was like to create history and build something no-one built before.When the digital display of my reader correctly displayed the number that was sent by vibrations in the pipe a kilometer away, it was a great feeling. Limits really do only exist in our minds.

For my final project in engineering I built an access control system based on touch keys with a centralized user control system to manage and monitor user access. The university liked the project so much that they wanted to implement it in some of the engineering departments. I teamed up with a friend who had an electronics company and we installed the system.
