Lilongwe, Malawi

Leading an impactful multi-sectoral and multi-partner Community Resilience programme. With a focus on Education, Health, Empowerment, Disaster management, and civil society capacity development, I have collaborated with various partners to drive positive change and empower communities. Through this approach, I have successfully enhanced educational opportunities, improved healthcare access, promoted community empowerment, and strengthened disaster management capabilities. My key responsibilities include experience includes operation management, resource allocation and management, and stakeholder coordination to ensure the smooth execution of the programme.

Led the management of country programme and operations in Yemen, in line with Danish Red Cross International as well as the Country Strategy, Standard Operational Procedures, polices and guidelines. Overall responsible for diversified and multi-donor programme portfolio implementation with the primary focus on Health, Disaster Management, and National Society Development. Representing Danish Red Cross towards various stakeholders including Red Cross Red Crescent Movement Partners, International Organizations, UN Agencies, and Institutional Donors. Other key responsibilities also include organizational change management, resource mobilization, risk management, financial management, and human resource management.

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Managing a consortium of four European and Ethiopian NGO partners in the implementation of EU Trust fund for Africa financed “Stemming Irregular Migration in Northern and Central Ethiopia” project to create greater economic and employment opportunities, by establishing inclusive economic programmes that foster employment opportunities, especially for young people and women. My primary responsibilities include: coordinating multiple partner operations; designing M&E system; coordinating multi-sectoral needs assessment and proposal development; strengthening public-private partnership; leading the development of strategic plans; fundraising and lobbying; fostering effective partnership and cooperation; financial management; donor reporting and compliance; and representing the organization.

Middle East And North Africa Region

Led a consortium of four Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement Partners in the implementation of DG ECHO financed “Emergency Health and Relief Support for Conflict Affected Population in Syria”, managing all aspects of project development and delivery (with emphasis on emergency health, logistics, shelter/NFI, and response capacity building) including country strategy development. Other responsibilities include overall financial management, conducting multi-sectoral need assessment, producing periodic donor reports, representation and coordination of cooperation with partners, donors, UN and other actors.

South Sudan

Led a multi-year refugee response programme in Upper Nile State of South Sudan managing all aspects of project development and delivery (with the focus on Education, Livelihood, Child Protection) including planning for a future emergency project. Responsibilities include representation, line management, security management, financial management, donor reporting, and participation in existing humanitarian coordination mechanism

South Sudan

Coordinated the delivery of multi-sectoral and integrated services to IDPs (with the focus on food, shelter, protection, and community services), that meet minimum sphere standards and high standards of quality and accountability to persons of concern. Responsibilities include representation, financial management, line management, reporting, participation in camp coordination mechanism, and identifying gaps in service provision.

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Coordinated DFID funded multi-year Reproductive, Maternal and Neo-natal advocacy and mass media project; managed the extensive consultation process with the Ministry of Health to produce radio content. Other key responsibilities include representation, financial management, reporting, monitoring, mentoring and managing a diverse team of ex-pat and local project managers and programme content producers

Ethiopia

Country Manager, representing Maternity Foundation in Ethiopia and managing the implementation of “Integrated Maternal Health Project” to strengthen maternal health delivery in five districts through a coordinated capacity building training, provision of essential medicine, and innovative service delivery including the use of mobile technologies to achieve the health objectives. Other key responsibilities include representation, field monitoring, reporting, and coordination with key humanitarian and government counterparts.

Country Programmes Delegate, representing Danish Red Cross and supporting Ethiopian Red Cross Society in disaster management, fund raising, capacity building and organizational development (including health, disaster preparedness and response projects). Other responsibilities include financial management, monitoring, reporting, technical support, and developing effective and well-coordinated cooperation with movement partners and other humanitarian actors.

Sudan

Coordinated the delivery of multi-sectoral and integrated services to IDPs in Western Darfur (with the focus on Nutrition, WATSAN, shelter, and community services) including protection. Other responsibilities include conducting multi-sectoral needs assessment, project design, monitoring, reporting, financial management, line management, and representation.

Ethiopia

Managed community based integrated Area development programme (with emphasis on Child Development, Education, Health, capacity building and livelihood) including the delivery of emergency food assistance for people affected by drought and food insecurity. Other responsibilities include project development, monitoring, reporting, financial management, and liaise with local, regional and national stakeholders.
