Current• Database architect assigned to the NEXTGEN project. • Assessed overall database architecture and delivered recommendations and solutions to executive management to achieve their goals of reliability, scalability, performance and overall system stability. This resulted in a much higher scale of user traffic and overall customer satisfaction.• Developed coding standards and performed code reviews of all statis and dynamic SQL code.• Reviewed existing database design and addressed all anomalies identified. This included table design and proper indexing.• Wrote a PYTHON application to compare containerized databases between AZURE environments to ensure consistency between environments. This application also performed other diagnostics as well as needed maintenance.• Created Epics and Stories in Jira as part of the implementation of database findings and recommendations and worked these items until completed and properly deployed.• Provided production support in the form of issue identification, detailed diagnostics and documentation as well as overall trouble shooting. This effort was considered crucial staff augmentation as the customer lost several people after a corporate acquisition. • Performed overall performance analysis and recommendation on application interactions with the database. Made recommendations for application code design changes as well as overall system performance improvements.• Provided database monitoring recommendations and assisted in monitoring rule configuration.• Implemented T-SQL error handling to expose T-SQL errors in Azure AppInsights and provide explicit error information.
