My three primary career paths have been as a practicing clinical psychologist, healthcare consultant, and owner of a mental health practice. In my clinical role, I am an actively practicing senior psychologist who thoroughly enjoys providing friendly, down-to-earth and goal focused counseling for most mental health and all addictive disorders. Using forthrightness, knowledge, humor and hope, my connection to my clients is deep, committed and 24/7. I treat adolescents, adults, couples and families, and offer both very early and late meeting times to best match client need. I have specific expertise and comfort treating alcohol, opiate and other drug problems; sex, gambling and other behavioral addictions; couples and blended families; and the prominent, political and/or wealthy (in a private setting).As a healthcare consultant, I directed statewide addiction services in Massachusetts, provided consultation to the federal government and all 50 states, and wrote a handful of influential health policy books. As the owner/director of the Moss Group, I have the joy of running the business, counseling dozens of clients per week, and having great staff providing comprehensive mental health, addiction and psychiatric services behavioral health services to all ages. Based in Bedford MA, we now are about four years old, still building the practice, actively recruiting new staff, and searching for new ways to serve our surrounding communities.
