Essential Responsibilities and Duties:1. Ensures success of all operational excellence elements of site operations including providing the strategic leadership necessary for successful long term operation of site facilities. The site leader represents Dow locally. 2. Delivers continuously improving Environmental, Health & Safety performance. Ensures the plant is meeting the operational requirements of Dow’s businesses and continuously improving. This includes product delivery, quality and operating the plant to meet customers’ needs.3. Maintains site compliance with all internal and external regulations.4. Engages established leveraged site services to achieve plant success. Leveraged services typically include: Maintenance, Turnaround Management, Analytical Technology Implementation for Competitive Advantage, Environmental, Health & Safety operations, Logistics, HR, Business Services, Purchasing and Public Affairs.5. Provides a sustainable, highly-trained operational work force including contractors.6. Balances short-term priorities with long-term needs of the site and the business on site.7. Meets the annual expense budget for the plant as set by the function and business. 8. Develops and maintains relationships with the appropriate business and functional leaders to ensure that the needs of the business are understood and communicated to the site.9. Maintains Dow’s license to operate by developing and maintaining strong relationships with community, state/provincial and federal political and regulatory leaders.

1. Formulate EHS policies, procedures, objectives and targets and implement audit programs so as to achieve the company’s goals and meet regional and government EHS workplace requirements.2. Identify the overall education and training needs on EHS programs of the company and propose to management the implementation of such programs to ensure that the employees understand, accept and support the relevant requirements.3. Investigate and report to the management incidents and accidents occurring on site and identify the root cause of the problems and recommend remedial and preventive measures including the necessary actions to prevent recurrence of such incidents.4. Establish and maintain EHS documentation and keep updated files of mandatory safety rules and regulations, training, inspection and audit records to ensure EHS activities are properly documented and filed according to needs.5. Coordinate with Logistics on TDS issues and act as the Safety Adviser in case there is no TDS Adviser on site. Attend TDS related trainings.6. Prepare safety review documents of planned new site facilities and participate in the deliberation of such reviews.7. Implement programs for existing operations and future business activities including audit, ISO 9001 and 14001 certification application/confirmation, etc. in order to secure the compliance with mandatory regional standards and adequacy relative to company conditions.8. Conduct and sustain EHS audits, training programs, actual drills with BASF employees and its facilities to ensure compliance to EHS Management Systems.9. Formulate Emergency Response Program in coordination with top management.10. In his absence or during his annual leave, the Operations Manager is taking over of his duties and responsibilities.

Support Operations in identifying solutions to improve safety, ergonomics and environmental aspects 7. Review and implement site-specific safety plans and procedure in cooperation with project management and customers;8. Support EHS audits and inspections;9. To assist Business Managers and Support Functions in: - reducing accidents year on year towards the ultimate goal of Zero accidents, - establishing, maintaining, implementing and improving the HSE Management System and its Segment subsets, - defining HSE objectives, - liaising with clients, third party subcontractors, and agencies regarding HSE , - assessing risks, - preparing HSE plans required to ensure optimum minimization of the above and compliance to HSE policies, standards and procedures, whether generic or Segment specific, - generating and implementing Area standards and procedures, - defining Quality and HSE metrics and maintaining related records, - monitoring the perception of Schlumberger services among clients, - conducting Management review meetings to assess the effectiveness of the HSE Management System and identify required improvements. 4. Ensures all GeoMarket and Product Group specific HSE risks are identified, assessed and that appropriate risk management plans are implemented. 5. To ensure adequate HSE training is provided to all personnel, including subcontractors, to meet the GeoMarket needs and requirements.6. To ensure that all accidents are properly notified, investigated, reviewed and followed up.7. To advise Management on corrective action required. 8. To develop and maintain a high level of awareness and active personal involvement among all personnel through prevention and reporting of non-conformities.9. 1.To assist the GeoMarket Manager, Business Segment Operation Managers and Support Functions in: - Reducing accidents year on year towards the ultimate goal of Zero accidents, - Establishing, maintaining, implementing and improving the HSE Management System and its Segment subsets, - Liaising with GeoMarket clients, contractors, and agencies regarding HSE , - Preparing GeoMarket HSE plans required to ensure optimum minimization of the above and compliance to HSE policies, standards and procedures, whether generic or Segment specific, - Generating and implementing GeoMarket standards and procedures, - Defining GeoMarket HSE metrics and maintaining related records, - Monitoring the perception of Schlumberger services among clients, - Conducting management review meetings to assess the effectiveness of the HSE Management System and identify required improvements. - Establishing contracts with main contractors (catering, transport, ect.). 2.Ensures all HSE risks are identified, assessed and that appropriate risk management plans are implemented. 3.To ensure adequate HSE training is provided to all personnel, including contractors, to meet the GeoMarket needs and HSE requirements for minimum and job related training and, working through the Segments, ensures that personnel receive appropriate process specific training. 4.To ensure that all accidents and non-conformances are properly notified, investigated, reviewed and followed up, as per the SLB HSE Standard 2 and to participate in investigations of major failures and accidents. 5.To advise Management on the compliance of the local HSE programs with all local and national regulations of the host countries in the GeoMarket. 6.To develop and maintain a high level of awareness and active personal involvement among all personnel through prevention and reporting of non-conformances. 7.To lead HSE audit program and verify compliance with SLB and Segment HSE standards using appropriate checklists.
