Throughout my stay at Wichita State University, I have done projects that involve using Six Sigma methodology to improve on existing product and reducing defects and reducing work in process. Some of my projects involving DMIAC include: Working on improving the DeWalt drill by changing the gearing systems used to deliver power and reducing heat and noise. Build BOM for parts in the drill and made a FMEA for all potential failures in the operation of the drill. Made various helical gear calculations and choosing of the material using the guided-step procedure of our resource. Working on the equipment plant for a NDT industries. We made a project that involve supplying high quality NDT equipment to Aegeus Solutions Inc. that have lower lead times and less defects. From an industrial experience, I was a student research for ATlas Trap Co. in where we had to design a new process layout plan for their latest expansion of the clay throwing equipment. We made a SOP for a specific machine that can be utilised by any employees working there and be trained for new employees. We created BOM for the all the parts used in making one of the machinesIn addition, I am also a part of Formula SAE for Shocker Racing at Wichita State University, helping the team on the suspension design of the car. Currently, I have worked on making SOP's for various toe, camber and caster angles, also calculated various load transfers under static and dynamic conditions. Will be focusing on the brakes and Anti-roll bar (ARB) design that we are planning to put for this year or next year's car.I have been part of Muslim Student Association as a sub-committee of the treasurer as I organise all the financial reports for our semester events that takes place.
