• Install, setup and monitor local area network perform a variety of maintenance, evaluation, installation andtraining tasks to ensure LAN performance meets company and user requirements.• Install , configure, and maintain personal computers , file servers , Ethernet , network cabling , and otherrelated equipment , devices , and systems : adds or upgrades and configures modems , disk drives , dataacquisition boards , printers , and related equipment• Plan and implement network security, including building firewalls, applying cryptography to networkapplications, managing host security, file permissions, backup and disaster recovery plans, file systemintegrity, and adding and deleting users.• Investigate user problems, identify their source, determine possible solutions, test and implement solutions.• Evaluate and/or recommend purchases of computers, network hardware, peripheral equipment, andsoftware.• Manage all the company’s work centers from printers, scanners, faxes ….
