I am a Mechanical Engineering Graduate from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). During the 2nd and 3rd years, I loved the core courses in Mechanical Engineering like Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, and Solid Mechanics. So I felt that I should have a taste of research in the final year to see if I should choose a career path involving learning deeply about any of the topics that intrigued me and to be able to contribute professionally in those fields.I completed my undergraduate thesis on Microfluidic Droplet Dynamics. I was very fortunate that our paper based on our research with the title, 'Effects of Surface Discontinuity on Droplet Dynamics in a Microfluidic Channel,' was accepted and presented at the ATE-HEFAT 2021: 15th International Conference on Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, and Thermodynamics. The acceptance of publication boosted my confidence that I also can do well in research that involves hard work and patience while learning. I am currently continuing my work on Droplet Dynamics and studying the impacts of symmetric and asymmetric surface discontinuities on generated droplets in a microfluidic channel. I hope that this thirst and desire to continue learning remains intact in the future, and I may find proper guidance and opportunities to excel and serve in the fields that made me fall in love to keep on learning.
