Mother Turtle (a.k.a Marsia Shuron Harris), performs solo and with band. Blending soul, rock, acoustic and jazz, Mother Turtle attracts a variety of music fans and people of all ages dance to the infectious rhythms, led by Mothers' distinctive voice. Lead guitarist Atticus Robbins, brings a unique mix of Latin, reggae and rock to the group, while percussionist Busta B. an accomplished African drummer from the Bamidele Dance and Drum Troupe, keeps the music upbeat and danceable. On bass is the exceptional, Peter Kim, who grounds the band with funky solid grooves. Marsia Shuron is a photographer with an appreciation for natural light and fine art photography. Having fallen in love with image making at a young age, she attended the Art Institute of Boston and immersed herself in the art of portraiture, utilizing infra red film for it's unique, grainy, and dream like qualities. She exhibited, sold work and was commissioned, but as fate would have it, she began spending more and more time working on her first love, music. Photography slowly took the back seat.
