Writing, to me, is simply thinking through my fingers.My writing journey started in my college days as a dialogue writer for my friend's short films. Ever since then, I have developed this unconditional urge to use fancy words and classic dialogues in the movie as references in almost every conversation possible; more than admiring a film, I began searching for its screenplay on how this particular scene of the film was written.This is how my passion for writing started. With that passion, I started small as an intern in a Bangalore-based startup company called GetMyUni. It is an educational website that provides information on various UG and PG courses available for Indian students. I worked there for 2 months in the "Article Writing" section and learned a few things about keywords and SEO rankings. Even one of my articles gets ranked first on Google for a couple of weeks!Life was good. On weekends, I used to explore the lakes and parks of Bangalore and had the greatest experience!The next phase in my career started as a Technical/UX Writer which is also my current role in SPAN Technology Services, a product-based company located in Taramani, Chennai. It's been more than 2 beautiful years in this company and my learning curve has gradually increased; thanks to the different projects I worked on, right from truck logistics to IRS e-filing systems!Here in SPAN, it is more of a one-man show. I was assigned a couple of products to handle; one was in the logistics field and another one was IRS-approved e-filing software. My job is to work closely with Business Analysts, the design team, and the development team on any module that's being taken for development and write application content, FAQs, articles, and much more. I also take live chats from onsite during the filing season. This gives me a wide exposure to know and learn new things. I used to brainstorm ideas, write page helps that are more user-friendly.I'm entirely grateful for this industry for which I am passionate. There's certainly more to learn and build-out of this career to which I'm looking forward!
