My name is Motunrayo Sholabomi, but most people call me “Mo,” and you’re welcome to do the same! 😉I like to think of myself as a bundle of talent because I easily come off as different things to different people. To some, I’m “Motunrayo the food Scientist”; to others, I’m “Motunrayo the Life Coach”; and to some, I’m “Motunrayo the Researcher.” Feel free to choose which version of me you’d like to connect with.A little about my career: I am a graduate of Food Science and Technology (Best Graduating Student, 2021 session) from Yaba College of Technology, currently thriving as a Product Developer, focusing on developing food products, conducting sensory evaluations, and ensuring that products align with nutritional standards. I am passionate about what I do and am constantly seeking ways to improve myself.In addition, I am a researcher who has collaborated with professors at Yaba College of Technology and the University of Ilorin on pioneering research in food innovation & processing, consumer perceptions, and nutritional fortification. This experience has afforded me the opportunity to conduct impactful research and enhance my technical skills. I have extensive experience with various statistical and analytical software, including Python, SAS, Minitab, IBM SPSS Statistics, Design Expert, Origin, and JMP. In addition, I am proficient in using Excel (from basic to advanced levels), PowerPoint, MS Word, Canva, and Compusense. I also have experience with single and twin screw extruders for food processing.When I’m not working in the Innovation Department, I’m usually taking one of the many courses I’m enrolled in or reading journals and developing value-adding content for my community.In my free time, I enjoy cooking, hiking, and volunteering for community outreach initiatives.
