I grew up with parents who owned two Thai restaurants where I began performing small tasks in order to become a waitress, cashier and cook. When my parents closed down one of the restaurants in early January of 2016, my eldest brother had taken over the second Thai restaurant and I began working for him where I learned to check inventory, provide better customer service, problem solve and multitask better. During the transition from one business to the other I was also attending school. I was attending Brandon High School in Ortonville, Michigan and I was also enrolled in Oakland Schools Technical Campus - Northwest in the Health Sciences Program located in Clarkston, Michigan. Within that program I acquired many more skills such as Oxygen Administration, Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation, and First Aid. The Health Sciences program also gave me the opportunity to volunteer and job shadow at St. Josephs Hospital and the Groveland Fire Department. Then in July of 2017 I moved to Redding, California in search of a new opportunity to not only grow from the family business but to also find more jobs suited to my interests.
