Naji Moujaes earned his Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the American University of Beirut (AUB) in 1996, securing an Areen Award for Excellence in Design. He obtained his Master’s degree in Architecture from the Southern California Institute for Architecture in 1999, and completed his EMBA at AUB in 2021.Following architectural internships in Italy at Massimiliano Fuksas Architetti in Rome, and in Japan at Rikken Yamamoto (Pritzker Architecture Prize winner for 2024) and Fieldshop in Yokohama, Mr. Moujaes contributed to significant award-winning projects in New York City. He received the ‘Architects of Healing’ Presidential Citation from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Board of Directors for his role in designing the World Trade Center Memorial Museum in New York City. Additionally, he has been honored with the Young Architects Forum Award and the Emerging Voices recognition by The Architectural League of New York.Mr. Moujaes has also shared his expertise as an educator, teaching architectural design studios with a cultural focus on the Arab world at Cornell University, the University of Pennsylvania, and the Rensselaer (RPI) School of Architecture. He has served as a jury member for The Architectural League of New York’s 2006 Young Architects’ Forum themed ‘Instability’, and for the NYFA (New York Foundation for the Arts) Architecture/Environmental Structures. His work has been exhibited at The Artists Space in New York City, and he has participated in group exhibitions at The Drawing Center and MoMA in New York City.He is the founder of PAD 10 Architects + Designers, an internationally acclaimed architectural practice with offices in Kuwait, Lebanon, and Paris. PAD10 was recently awarded from the Royal Commission of AlUla for ‘100 Houses by 100 Architects’ in AlUla, KSA, the American Institute of Architects ME Chapter for the Baraka Seaside Residence in Kuwait, and Phase Eins Berlin for the KFAS New Headquarters and Convention Center in Kuwait. PAD10 also contributed to the Venice Biennale 2016 ‘Reporting from the Front’ as part of the Kuwait Pavilion.
