I have completed Masters in Planning (2010-2012), from CEPT University, Ahmedabad and done Masters in Geography, from Delhi School of Economics.I have over 10 years of experience working in the field of Urban Climate Resilience Planning, Disaster & Climate Change Vulnerability Assessment, Slum Redevelopment and Climate Change Vulnerability Assessment and Spatio-temporal Disaster Pattern Analysis and Hazard Mitigation and Adaptations.Completed Masters in Planning (2010-2012), from CEPT University, Ahmedabad and Masters in Geography, from Delhi School of Economics, Delhi (2008-10). I’m currently engaged as a Technical Advisor at GIZ India, working under the project of SUDSC phase II, and looking into climate resilience and disaster risk management in Indian cities. I have previously worked as a Research Analyst at IRADe and have developed Climate Adaptive Heat Action Plans and Disaster Resilience Action Plans for cities of India, supported by international and national organizations like International Development Research Centre (IDRC), Canada, Ministry of Environment Forest & Climate Change (MoEFCC), Department Of Science & Technology (DST), Govt of India. I have been involved in multi- disciplinary research of Assessing Heat Stress Vulnerability among the urban poor while mapping the impact of heat stress on the livelihood, productivity and health through on-field research and also development of Climate Adaptive Heat Action Plans. Under the National Mission of Himalayan Studies, I have been involved in Climate Risk and Vulnerability Assessment for Himalayan cities and developing Disaster Resilience Action Plans. I have also worked on Spatio-Temporal Analysis of Dengue incidences across Indian states and studied the correlation with climatic parameters and development of Dengue Actions Plans.I have been also involved in coordinating multi-stakeholder workshops and consultations at National and International level.I have also been able to published research papers, project finding and outcomes in various journal like Economic and Political Weekly, Disaster & Development, NIDM Journal, Urban India, Journal for Vector Borne Disease likewise.Prior to IRADe.I have worked in the Centre of Environment Education (CEE), Ahmedabad, and Kolkata as a Programme Officer in the field of urban sustainability, transport governance, likewise. I have also worked as Capacity Building and Training Coordinator under RAY Technical Cell, at Rajkot Municipal Corporation, Rajkot, Gujarat in the field of urban planning, slum redevelopment, and affordable housing.
