CurrentI Currently work part-time, however, I worked full-time over the summer averaging 30-40 hours a week. Working 4-6 hour shifts I handle food and beverage sales up to $1500, typically in sections containing 5-6 tables. I serve a variety of customers, from people there for business meetings, people on lunch break, parties, and birthdays. No two tables are the same therefore I have a loose script/ procedure, but it has to be very adaptive. Starting off as a busser, I worked my way towards a promotion to server. I learned as a busser what I wished others could do for me to help. Now as a server, I have a different perspective as to how I work, and I make sure to always think about how I can help others. Starting off as a busser also has led to me appreciating what I have worked towards. I plan to continue to work here throughout college, as it offers both a chance to get get my mind off school, as well as a reliable source of income to help fund my way through college.
