From 2013 to 2016 I’ve been working at Parfois (www.parfois.com) in the IT department, with the specific role of IT Operations Manager. Leading a team of 25 people, I was directly responsible for all the activities of IT Operations (Infrastructure, Applications Management, User support and Systems Maintenance), as well as IT Expansion (new stores). The areas supported by IT include Stores, Logistics, Distribution, Purchasing, Inventory / Category Management, Financials, Human Resources). At this role I was also responsible for the managerial aspects of IT including business/ IT alignment, budgeting, sourcing, service management and the IT Strategy/ Operationalization including IT Governance, Risk Management and Configuration Management.

Since September 2009 I’ve been working at Sonae(www.sonae.pt) , the largest retailer in Portugal with the role of project manager in the Information Systems and Innovation unit.As a senior BI consultant and project manager I’ve been mainly working in the delivery of a new platform for data warehousing and business intelligence for the food and beverage retail and for the specialized retail (electronics, sports and fashion) areas. Assuming the roles of project and technical manager, I’ve been responsible for the coordination of a wide number of consultants at the activities of delivering effective information to several business needs, with the quality standards defined for Sonae projects.The main phases of the project have been:1. Definition of architecture, implementation best practices, and project scope;2. Implementation of main datamarts to delivery information;3. Implementation of several BI reports, dashboards and OLAP cubes;In some of the sub-projects we have used agile methodologies (SCRUM).Main technologies: Exadata, Oracle 11 G, Oracle BIEE, ODI, Microsoft Analysis Services, Flex, reporting services;

From September 2007 to September 2009 I worked at Critical Software (www.criticalsoftware.com), as a Principal Engineer, with responsibilities as a senior consultant and team leader in the Business Intelligence area. At the same time I’ve assumed the leadership of the business intelligence competency centre where I’ve defined the main aspects for the area development: market strategy definition, objectives, recruitment and team management.At EDP Produção (www.edp.pt) I assumed the role of Technical Manager. This large scale project implemented a solution for edp in the area of production, giving to middle management the ability to control all the energy production assets in real time, integrating all the real time measures in a business intelligence system, from several business areas: energy production, purchasing, profit and loss, environment, sustainability, operation. Main technologies: Oracle, Business Objects, Informatica PowerCenter, Sybase PowerDesigner, Enterprise Architect, OSI.

I’ve worked as account manager at Indra, in the retail and manufacturing markets, where I assumed the responsibilities for all the project life cycle: negotiation and selling, project delivery and post-selling.

Working at TBM (IT startup ), between 2003 e 2005, I’ve developed my main activities as a Project manager and senior analyst. The main projects developed took place in the telecom and retail industries, specially in the Business Intelligence, ERP and specific software development.

From 1999 to 2003 I’ve worked at Arthur Andersen (then Deloitte) in the Business Consulting Office as a Consultant, with special focus in Business Intelligence projects and process mappings / reengineering.
