Research and Teaching assistant of Medicinal Chemistry at Faculty of pharmacy Cairo University

During my internship as research assistant, I have gained experience, in various fields of chemistry; analytical, and natural products chemistry (phytochemistry), I have learnt and dealt with many experimental and methodological approaches summarized in the following items:- Surveying the literature for specific pieces of information- Reading the literature critically to evaluate its significance- Preparing the first draft of manuscripts and involved in writing review- Isolation of natural products from plants- Structural elucidation of natural products- Conduct research experiments under supervision of post-doctoral fellow- Used computational chemistry (Molecular Operating Environment (MOE)) to study the interaction between supramolecular host molecules and analyte guest molecules- Microfabrication of electrochemical sensors and electro-polymerization of conducting polymer (polyaniline)- Synthesis of nanoparticles (magnetic nanoparticles)- Modification of nanoparticles using various surface chemistry techniques- Interpret experimental data to confirm the structure of modified nanoparticles (XPS, DLS, FT-IR, SEM)- Perform statistical analysis on results- Used EndNote and Mendeley software to arrange reference and management of citation- Prepare presentation to summarize research findings for the group meeting- Attend group meeting and take part in the brainstorming discussion to create a new idea.

During this internship I have learnt about cell culture technique and In vitro embryo production including: oocytes handling, investigating drug effects on them, and performing in-vitro fertilization. I have also participated as an instructor in IVF workshop held by the team. In addition to the practical experience with different types of microscopes.

A part time job where I was Responsible for the daily operations of the pharmacy including medication dispensing, customer consultations, inventory management, and management of assistants working at the pharmacy

Leaders For Future internship program provided by TAWAKKOL KARMAN Foundation that includes: a Diploma in Peace Building and Human Rights, a Labor Market Diploma, an Intensive English Language Diploma and a preparation course for either TOEFL or IELTS in its final stage. The English course is provided by ENGLISH CASTLE Institute in Istanbul, Turkey, and the study is online 3 hours a day and 5 days a week.

I have taken part in the first Eva Pharma summer training school in 2020 summer where I studied about pharmaceutical production, Quality control, and research and development in addition to pharmaceutical marketing, which was all online session via Zoom throughout three months.Meanwhile, I was chosen to take practical training in the Quality control unit of Eva's firm in Haram, Giza. During this training period, I had access to Eva's quality control facility that is highly equipped with advanced instruments which I had the chance to deal with and be trained on how to use them. I also had the chance to do many wet lab tests on raw materials. This training helped me vastly to be aware of quality control unit tasks and how to do them well, as well as its crucial role in pharmaceutical firms
