• Design power generation axial turbines and compressors with preliminary design equations and calculations (using MS EXCEL).• Designed and produced 2 axial turbines (100 KW and 90 KW, 1 stage each).• Design using CATIA, NX 11 and SOLIDWORKS.• Validate the design calculations using Computational fluid dynamics (using ANSYS).• Ensure the safety of the design using Finite Element Analysis (using ANSYS and ABAQUS).• Prepare performance maps for the gas generator components as well as assuring the matching procedure between all the components (design and off-design points) using MATLAB and Simulink.• Draw mechanical block diagram and find the system transfer function using MATLAB and Simulink.• Design gas generator subassemblies including Sheetmetal components, sensors, couplings, bearings, shaft design, cooling techniques and lubrication.• Select the appropriate material as well as manufacturing process which will produce each part effectively and efficiently with minimum cost. • Prepare shop drawings for manufacturing.• Check manufactured component for quality assurance.• Test the manufactured components for performance assurance, run troubleshoot, analyze and fix any performance or manufacturing related problems.
