As a proud member of Aquaphoton, an Egyptian student team specializing in advanced underwater robotics, I contributed to our remarkable 5th place finish at the USA MATE competition in 2023, following our first-place victory in the regional stage. I developed a multi-threaded Python GUI interface to display real-time camera feeds, enabling precise control and efficient mission execution of our remote-operated vehicle (ROV). Additionally, I programmed C++ firmware for the ESP32 microcontroller to manage float motor operations and created a web server to facilitate seamless communication between the float and our Python application using sockets and RPCs.
