• At the firm, my two main responsibilities were: (i) assisting the managing partner with the firm’s federal civil litigation practice and (ii) growing and managing the firm’s consumer bankruptcy practice. Across both practice areas, I worked on 109 different cases.• In the civil litigation practice, I was assigned a series of challenging cases in many state and federal courts. Though many cases involved better-resourced oppositions, I worked earnestly to find creative avenues to ensure the clients secured a favorable outcome.• In the bankruptcy practice, I helped grow the firm’s client base from 9 to 57 active clients. In doing so, I implemented new case procedures, conducted over 100 consultations, and acted as the main point of contact for dozens of clients. I also helped grow the small business debtor department, serving as lead or support counsel in 9 cases involving the reorganization or liquidation of small businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.• I gained valuable advocacy and courtroom experience, arguing 15 motions in state and federal courts as well as either authoring or co-authoring 104 pleadings such as complaints, dispositive and non-dispositive motions, appellate briefs, and oppositions to myriad pleadings.
