About Jan M.
Disciplines across design and practical hands on experience in sectors including architecture, marine, interiors, exteriors, domestic furniture, commercial furniture, flooring, three decades of motorsport and motorcycling. Often in dialogues I've heard comments like 'you have done many things', I have to cite my appetite for exploration across many industries and desire to explore design within them and physically push boundaries. Maybe even pioneer design when opportunity presents, it's happened a lot over the decades and will no doubt continue to. We were there at the start of the CGI revolution and catalyzed the 'motorsport visual' used in livery design which was a spin off from working around the games publishing industry over twenty five years ago. Did I think of it that way? It was a logical and extremely cost effective progression that's all.It is great pleasure to able to combine real hands on experience into my CGI and design work today. I'm extremely proud of the talent around me and love to push visual boundaries beyond the historically vanilla scope of commerce. Create signatures that not only doodle around in the mind but have clear intent. Expression in architecture, engineering, lifestyle and marine is not only possible but I thoroughly enjoy re-imagining traditional industry narratives with added twists and occasional turns. To be able to do that for a living is a bonafide win.I avoid boardrooms and red tape thinkers actively. Creatively sticky pipelines and micro managed environments are often toxic to the detail oriented creative experience. I deliberately work on marine, automotive and architecture. When we design, we innovate and pioneer processes in fluid friction free ways.Vanilla thinkers apply elsewhere.

We customarily breached the bounds of my remit frequently. We covered areas such as design for blow molding, injection molding, 3D printing as well as narrating for Amazon visually. This role had me pushing personal CGI boundaries and I revelled in it. Also covered IPO illustration which was an additional layer of experience.
