The DREAMS RISE program is an HIV prevention programme offering a comprehensive package of core interventions that address key factors that increase AGYW’s vulnerability to HIV. The program contributes towards the reduction of new HIV infections among AGYW aged 10 years to 24 years by strengthening HIV and sexual violence prevention. The project has two major objectives, which include the empowerment of AGYW to reduce HIV risk and to strengthen families, communities and create an environment for AGYW to adopt and sustain healthier lifestyles.Responsible for planning, coordination, and implementation of the DREAMS Project integrated education interventions located in schools and communities, In liaison with the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education. • Participates in program design, developing methodologies, work plans and budgets for Caregiver Parenting and Caregiver Economic Strengthening interventions. • Implements and supervises Sinovuyo Parenting for Lifelong Health and Resilience Building activities according to strategy, proposals, budgets, and plans • Coordinates implementation of Program activities at district level, scheduling activities and monitoring the Program to make sure planned targets are achieved on time and as per donor agreed quality standards. • Works with the Strategic Information and Evaluation team to implement the Monitoring and Evaluation action plan, making sure that Monitoring and Evaluation data for the Program is collected and Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting (MER) reports are produced, as required. • Oversees training, coaching and on-going support of Community Based Trainers and Sinovuyo Positive Parenting Curriculum in order to improve instructional practices in parenting, financial literacy and social and emotional skills. • Identifies and establishes project linkages with government departments and community stakeholders towards the achievement of Program goals through Community Visioning.

• Wrote a proposal and received an award for the implementation of the World Health Organization Africa Regional Office public health emergency response flagship project to complement government efforts and support communities with high-impact COVID-19 interventions.• Designed and spearheaded the delivery of evidence-based hybrid (physical and online) risk communication and community engagement activities reaching over 30,000 individuals and contributing to increased documented vaccination levels.• Trained community-based COVID-19 task force groups in targeted wards on community-based surveillance, case referral, as well as infection prevention and control to minimize the spread of the virus through community transmission.• Increased COVID-19 vaccination service uptake in the implementation wards by using a targeted approach to reach vulnerable and hard-to-reach groups such as people with disabilities, youth and vendors with consistent sensitization and promotion of COVID-19 vaccination.• Achieved inclusion in the pandemic governance response structures by advocating and supporting youth inclusion in the provincial and local COVID-19 Taskforce groups to represent youth-specific needs in the response, resulting in inclusive risk communication and lower morbidity amongst youth in Bulawayo.• Successfully maintained stakeholder relations and partnerships with the key line ministries and government departments including National AIDS Council, informal trader associations, business associations, and the local municipality to ensure shared learning and a coordinated approach to program implementation.

Led a team of 6 members as direct reports to deliver a Wellcome Trust-funded cluster-randomized trial that aimed to determine the impact of Community-based Integrated HIV and Sexual Reproductive Health Services for youth on HIV and other health outcomes in Zimbabwe (CHIEDZA). • Mobilized over 3 000 eligible adolescents and young people within three targeted cluster boundaries of Bulawayo with demand mobilization campaigns like the Art of Health campaign which used arts as a mobilization and information dissemination strategy.• Supervised, monitored, and provided technical support to field mobilization teams to ensure the achievement of project targets with over 3 000 eligible and targeted adolescents and young people reached.• Engaged community leaders and community-based organizations to assist with the mobilization of the target group as an adaptation strategy at the onset of limited movement in communities due to COVID-19 restrictions.• Analyzed data from beneficiaries on client satisfaction on quality-of-service provision and range of HIV prevention commodities accessed to inform mobilization strategy and contribute insights to project findings.

Led a team from three advocacy organizations in a consortium to deliver a $200 000 Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs advocacy program aimed at improving access to sexual and reproductive health services and rights (SRHR) for young people by addressing policy and structural barriers.• Advocated and supported the finalization and launch of the Zimbabwe School Health Policy (2018) that guides the delivery of school-based sexual and reproductive health service provision, including information through comprehensive sexuality education for learners.• Coordinated regional and international advocacy on emerging youth SRHR issues to build government urgency for reproductive health-related policy change and improve monitoring of human rights abuses on young LGBTQI+ and sex workers by the Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission• Successfully developed and disseminated youth-friendly abridged versions of the Zimbabwe School Health Policy and the Ministry of Health and Child Care’s Youth Friendly Service Guidelines to increase youth health rights literacy.

• Led an advocacy network of over 1200 young leaders from different sectors in all 85 HIV response districts to advance the sexual and reproductive health and rights needs of young people in Zimbabwe.• Co-designed and implemented the National AIDS Council youth office HIV prevention and treatment campaigns targeting young people with knowledge and skills guided by Zimbabwe National HIV and AIDS Strategic Plan.• Represented young people in various regional and national advocacy, and coordination platforms including technical working group meetings relevant to young people’s sexual and reproductive health like the National Adolescent Reproductive Health Forum, the National Technical Working Group on Young People, HIV and AIDS, and the UNFPA Safeguard Young People Programme Steering Committee.
