- Established a relationship with Midwest Transport Inc. (MTI). MTI was looking to utilize my strategic technical skills to analyze their back office operational processes and current procured systems to find opportunities in efficiencies and reduce costs. However, MTI got audited by the Department of Labor immediately changing the priority from a strategic objective to a tactical technical objective. Shifting into a technical solution consultant role after defining the function requirements and “like to have” strategic measuring points (Driver KPIs, Contract Negotiations with The USPS and additional business insights), the solution delivered met the DOT’s requirements as well as MTI’s goals. Tech stack: AWS, c#, .NET Core, REST API integration with GeoTab (3rd Party software), Office 365, custom employee scheduling system integration and MS SQL Server.- Advised an internet startup pharmaceutical company for acquisition ($60 million annual revenue). Provided assessment and recommendations on staffing needs, role definitions, order process continuity, order fulfillment automation, SDLC, and business process management.- Worked with 2 clients’ Sr. Management teams on business process management improvements. One engagement focused on moving to Azure cloud, accounting, taxes and gaming permit process improvements and automation. The second engagement focused on evaluating personnel, shorting cash flow cycle and business to business electronic communication (EDI).- Worked with a customer / consulting company to provide strategic objectives and market positioning of 2 mobile applications for the logistics industry.- Filled the role of sales engineer / service delivery manager in closing sales within the sales cycle process for delivering solution, time and material engagements as well as partnership alignment and IT services delivery.

Aligned organizational and customer goals with product team and developed a strategy to obtain those goals. Implemented, assembled, and prioritized product backlog of epics and user stories for agile development process.- Lead project of revamping custom 3PL software and service offering for BHD’s largest customer. Worked with the customer to achieve better ROI of our partnership and future needs for the system to be flexible and scalable to meet the needs of current and future acquisitions. Added built-in analytics, metrics and KPIs for operations to quantify BHD’s value add.- Initiated and sponsored multiple projects to allow for increased growth of revenue without increasing operational overhead and reduced organizational risk. Projects included: operational load management process from micro to macro approach (reducing Carrier Reps load management time by 50% per load), track and trace automation and integration (15 fulltime resources reduced to 3), and automation and integration of carrier onboarding and load assignment (litigation risk reduction).

- Hired as acting CEO of FreightRover.com, a new startup division. After proactively engaged Celadon Trucking’s senior management and “C” level executives, which lead to collaboration sessions, the idea of FreightRover was born. The project was allocated 1-million-dollar annual budget and was told to run the project as if I were CEO of a star-up. The objective was to build a team and complete the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and educate Celadon leadership on all aspects of custom software development and offshore outsourcing.- Responsibilities included every aspect of leading a startup software company and all the roles within the software development life cycle process, from grooming business requirements, documenting requirements, design (functional and UI), architecture, development, DBA, QA and project management. As well as designed branding and marketing material and product marketing website. Trained / educated Celadon’s management staff on agile methodology processes and tools, and offshore outsourcing staffing and work processes to help overcome distributed teams and offshore culture differences.- Designed and architected www.FreightRover.com as 100% cloud based, serverless SaaS solution using Microsoft Azure. The mobile application was written to run on iOS and Android OS. MS Visual Studio Team Services for agile process and project collaboration, project management / estimates / time tracking, daily standup meetings / user story assignment / burn down, project transparency, QA, CI and CD, DevOps.- Celadon leveraged my existing offshore consulting company relationship that completed complete most of the development / coding and testing portion of the project.- FreightRover is a multi-dimensional, controlled and transparent logistics services marketplace to speed up cash flow and provide process automation utilized uniquely by Shippers, Carriers, Drivers and Brokers.

- Director of application development. A staff of 37 with 7 team structure and 6 team lead managers. Two teams and managers were distributed offshore.- Co-championed company’s marketing website redesign, two times in eight years. Focused on the overall corporate objective to deliver an updated website that increased user experience. - Application designer, developer and manager of technology for company’s largest revenue producing application. Baldwin & Lyons (B&L) writes insurance policies for FedEx’s entire independent contract trucking companies. Web portal application is constructed using VB .NET, ASPX , ASP, HTML, Java scripting, VB6.0 (Windows services, EXEs, DLLs) and MSSQL server. The system (overview) allows contractors to enroll in the insurance program, captures a digital signature of enrolling person, manages signed document lockdown storage, calculates expected premiums, reconciles paid premiums to expected premiums, generates monthly invoices, exports system data changes to FedEx, prints Insurance cards and endorsements.- Implementing internal processes for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and tools that aided in workflow processes for ensuring business requirements and issue logging, time tracking of programming tasks, estimating of task time and actual task time.- Managing design, version control, project completion dates, ROI of projects, presentations and demos to all customers for the entire system. Overseeing migration of system technology. - Application designer (OOP design patterns), onsite trainer, developer and integrator for enterprise n-tier healthcare claim system designed with many technologies and connecting to a variety of legacy insurance companies claim systems through web services and/or EAI tools. report generation, healthcare claim edit checks and connections to insurance systems for payment.- One role was to provide solution for transforming healthcare claims from the providers’ practice management system into an EDI standard format that meets national standards for transmitting healthcare claims over the Internet. The claims were posted to the application server using XML and HTTP protocols and inserted into a queuing model for Sybase’s PaperFree product and the claim system to process the claims. Once version one was completed this role evolved into a new group for implementing, supporting and enhancement of the tool. Managed and trained three technologists and one project manager for this responsibility.- Team lead that designed and developed a proprietary scripting engine that read XML scripts to interface / integration of many different types of mainframe emulations (VT220, VT320, IBM 3270, IBM 5250) in a variety of system environments. - Integration consultant and application developer for client server order entry application that integrated windows client application with enterprise application inventory system that resided on a HP3000, for company in San Jose, CA. Managed clients’ needs and expectations for all application needs and requirements. Managed other programmers on larger projects for this application and to expedite application development turnaround time. Defined business object interfaces and implemented the middle-ware third party software for communicating with HP3000 mainframe.- Project manager and developer of pension fund application for international company headquartered in Indianapolis, IN. Managed client expectations (all programming requirements) and relationship. - Preformed R&D of migrating client server application to an n-tier design.
