From humble beginnings as a self-taught web developer, to a seasoned professional with 8 years commercial experience, I am currently continuing my growth journey as a student at Tech Elevator. I’ve always had an itch to develop and investigate. I got my first diploma in Pascal at 11. As a student, I wrote and launched a successful climbing blog, which developed a strong community and grew to over 100 unique visitors per day.In 2015, my love of challenges led me to focus on back-end development. It was so rewarding to get to work on tech 'behind the scenes', so to speak, because it felt so cool to get to see and build the systems that are hidden from regular users. As a lifelong enjoyer of secrets and mysteries, I found myself perfectly suited for this type of work.In my previous jobs, in addition to my regular tasks, I was always on the lookout for things that could be automated or improved. For example: In my last job I utilized the 'Docker' common development environment for my team, improving every aspect of our CI/CD process.A couple years ago I moved to the US and started to work as a truck driver. While that may sound like a strange transition, it should come as no surprise that even when driving trucks, I was still maintaining my developer mindset, and keeping my coding skills sharp by building a web application for my own accounting and analysis of my income and expenses. Even when doing a job wholly unrelated to programming, I found a reason to write code, because coding is my passion.I write software in my free-time, often just for fun, and sometimes I even code in my dreams. I can't wait to see what new projects and collaborations are next on my Journey.
