Pirkan Opiskelija-asunnot Oy, or POAS, is a growth company owned by the City of Tampere that owns and manages real estate, buys and leases land areas, builds buildings and rents out apartments.

I'm in charge of subtitling movies mainly for cinema in Finland and Sweden but my tasks also include smaller projects such as trailers, marketing videos and tv series episodes. My area of expertise is Swedish subtitles for movies in English, French, German, Spanish, Finnish and Swedish. I specialize in translating various texts and documents mainly from Finnish, Swedish, English, French and German into Swedish and Finnish. I had the honor to serve on the board of Hiedanrannan Kehitys Oy, which is a limited liability company owned entirely by the City of Tampere, operating on market terms, and a public procurement unit complying with the Act on Public Procurement and Concession Contracts. The company owns the land and buildings in the Hiedanranta area, and its task is to develop them. Being part of creating a new innovative and modern district is an eye-opening experience. The plan is to turn Hiedanranta into a sustainable city district for 25.000 residents, consisting of three subareas: Hiedanranta Centre, Lake City and the new Lielahti. The construction is planned to start in early 2025 and the first residents to move in their homes in 2025. Hiedanranta already houses independent culture and activities, and the aim is to preserve these also in the district of the future.
