100% engineer, 100% entrepreneur In 1999 I started a wireless engineering/consulting company which eventually became umlaut communications. It was my 3rd company, having previously founded an electronics company. At the dawn of the smartphone era, we provided wireless data communications engineering and consulting services to mobile network operators, infrastructure and handset OEMs around the world. After expanding our business to the US from 2009 to 2012, I returned to Germany and took a leadership role in our group. In this leadership role, I was the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) with a passion for technology and new business models. I was deeply involved in all strategic aspects of umlaut and the development of the organisation. In 2021, umlaut was acquired by Accenture and I joined the Accenture leadership as SMD with the closing of the umlaut acquisition on 1 October 2021. I left Accenture after the main integration was completed in mid-23. Now my colleagues and I are starting a new business, building on our experience and expertise in building and scaling organisations. Our objective: try to build remove roadblocks and help companies grow. I am currently living in Germany with my wife and 4 kids. I am a passionate pilot with SEP/MEP ratings, just passed my IR checkride..
