Deputy Administrator from March 2020 of the Occupational Health, Safety and Emergency Services Unit (OHSE) which serves two (2) programmatically complex state agencies: the Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) and the Oregon Health Authority. These agencies have a combined population of over 13,500 employees and approximately 190 locations. This position supports coordination of activities and helps guide decision making at all levels of Federal, State and Local government. It assists Leadership of the management of several programmatically complex services which include: Occupational Health & Safety, Employee Health & Wellness, Trauma Informed Services, Case Management, Violence Prevention & Incident Response and Continuity of Operations.The overall mission of this position is to ensure that ODHS and OHA employees work in a healthy and safe environment and facilitate client service delivery practices for the state's most vulnerable populations during times of disaster. Prior positions with the state include: Emergency Service Coordinator (COOP/Emerg. Response) from February 2017 through March 2020 - Duties include providing assistance to the Department of Human Services and Oregon Health Authority in continuity of operations, workplace incident response and Emergency Preparedness as well as supporting the state's response during disasters in ESF 6 (Mass Care) and ESF 11 (Food and Water). Safety Manager for the Stabilization and Crisis Unit whose responsibility includes Safety management of 23 homes which provide care for 108 clients and about 630 employees. I currently handle all Safety/Risk/Workers Comp related inquiries, represent SACU in hearings, and direct compliance and training in Safety related topics.
