Co-FounderBrazen Sports Ventures | Brasil Sports Group Mar 2011 - Dec 2013Following my reentry in the Brazil market with 9ine, I ventured in two different startups, created to bring to life groundbreaking businesses in Brazil. Brasil Sports Group proposed the created of the first for-profit training center for top performance athletes in the country, filling the gap of a sub-optimal conditioning infrastructure throughout the Brazilian sports club landscape. The project -- which might still be viable to this day -- failed to raised the amount needed to take full advantage of the 2012-16 Olympic cycle.Brazen Sports Ventures was created as a holding for sports-related projects, the first of which was Liga de Futebol Americano, the first professional American football league in Brazil. It followed the single-entity model, initially with 6 teams owned by the league. The project found considerable traction: a 3-year deal with SporTV, a 7-year deal to manage Brazil’ National Men’s Team, a deal to place a bleacher arena at Parque Villa-Lobos (São Paulo's #2 public park), 6 head coaches and 6 general managers working on the ground, 42 former college players signed with visas issued in the US, 170+ local athletes drafted, three sponsors committed, all infrastructure (arena, field, housing and training locations) hired, TV production planned, apparel deals with top US brands. The first season was set to take place by the end of 2013, but the failing of a seed investor to fulfill their commitment led to the project to be aborted at the last minute.

In this role I ran the day-to-day operations and created a strategic roadmap to position the business for continued success.Key Achievements: ● Championed business start-up activities and signed UFC star, Anderson Silva.We parted ways when it became clear that I had completely different visions for the business.
